The Promise Fund

A portion of every Legacy Duration payment is held in trust. This is what it means and why it exists.

Some things are worth protecting before they are ever at risk.

Great art has always needed people who believed in it before the world did.

Not collectors. Not critics. Not galleries waiting to see which way opinion turned. Believers. The kind of person who looked at a body of work and said, quietly and without condition, this matters. This should last.

The Promise Fund is our version of that belief.

What it is.

A portion of every Legacy Duration payment made on StudioNXT is set apart. Not into the life of the business. Not into growth or operations or anything that serves us. Into a fund that exists for one purpose only.

To make sure that when an artist entrusts us with their life's work, that trust is honoured. Not just while things are going well. For the full length of the commitment made. And if the worst happens, beyond it.

Why we created it.

Because a promise written only in words is a fragile thing.

We have seen what happens to artists' archives when the people holding them run out of goodwill, or money, or time. Works disappear. Records are lost. A life's output becomes a legal question nobody wants to answer.

We did not want to be another version of that story.

So we took the promise out of the realm of intention and put it somewhere more solid. Into a fund with a name, a legal structure, and a single job. To stand behind every commitment StudioNXT makes to the artists who place their work in our keeping.

What it means for you.

If you choose a Legacy Duration plan, a protected share of what you pay goes directly into the Promise Fund. It is yours in the truest sense. Not accessible to us for any operational purpose. Held in trust, specifically against the possibility that we cannot complete the term you chose.

If StudioNXT closes before your term is finished, the Fund returns the remaining years to you. Proportionally, transparently, within thirty days. Not as an apology. As the honouring of an agreement made in good faith by both sides.

What it means to us.

Every payment into the Promise Fund is a reminder of what this platform is actually for.

Not growth. Not scale. Not the language of technology companies building toward an exit.

A working artist sat down and said, I want my work to last. I am placing it here because I believe you will keep it safe.

The Fund is how we answer that. Not with words on a page. With something set aside, held apart, and protected for exactly that reason.

The legal foundation.

This is not a gesture. It is written into the structure of artNXT as a company. Any future steward of StudioNXT inherits the Fund and the obligations that come with it. It does not dissolve with a change of ownership. It does not disappear with a change of direction.

It travels with the work. The way a great painting travels with its provenance. Inseparable from what it protects.

A final thought.

The great patrons of art history are remembered not for what they owned but for what they made possible. The Medici did not paint. But Florence would look very different without them.

We are not patrons. We are builders of a place where artists do their own keeping. But the spirit is the same.

We believe your work matters. We believe it should last. And we are putting something real behind that belief, not because we are required to, but because it is the only way we know how to say it and mean it.

The Promise Fund is a founding commitment of artNXT, established on the day StudioNXT opened and written into the legal foundation of the company. It has not been touched since. It will not be.
